The NASCAR Hall of Fame® Class of 2015 is made up of some of the most legendary names in racing history, and this special edition diecast honors them all. With a racing career spanning over three decades, Bill Elliott is one of the most admired drivers in NASCAR® history. Since 1976, Elliott amassed 44 wins, 55 career poles and a record 16 Most Popular Driver Awards. Fred Lorenzen, nicknamed “Golden Boy,” was one of the sport’s first true superstars. In 1964, Lorenzen led 1,679 of 1,953 possible laps, which is still one of the most dominant runs in NASCAR® history. He was named to the 50 Greatest Drivers list in 1998. Wendell Scott was the first African-American to become a full-time NASCAR® driver and also the first African-American to win in the sport’s premier series. Throughout his racing career, Scott amassed more than 100 wins. Joe Weatherly, dubbed the “Clown Prince of Stock Car Racing”, was known for both his winning personality and winning career. Weatherly clinched two championships and 25 races in NASCAR’s® premier series. Rex White finished in the top five in nearly half of his 233 races and was best known for his expertise in short track competition. All but two of White’s 28 career wins were scored at short tracks.
