The 1979 DAYTONA 500® was one of the most significant races in NASCAR® history. With most of the eastern part of the U.S. hit by a huge snowstorm, millions tuned in to watch the race, which changed the perception of the sport. Not only was the racing great, but those watching were treated to a boxing match. One of the three participants in the last-lap brawl was Cale Yarborough, driver of the Busch Beer car. The competitive nature of the race and the impromptu altercation thrust NASCAR® into the spotlight. During Darlington Raceway's throwback weekend this year, Kevin Harvick will commemorate Yarborough's Busch paint scheme from that race by carrying a similar design on his car. Lionel Racing is excited to offer an Action Racing Collectables die-cast of Harvick's No. 4 Busch Darlington Chevrolet SS. Each die-cast is a reminder of one of NASCAR®'s brightest moments.
