Description
Celebrate the days of classic NASCAR with this Strictly Stock Car Racing T-shirt. The front features a distressed print of nostalgic racing graphics in red and blue.
Classic Inspiration:
The 1949 Strictly Stock Season came about when Bill France toyed with the idea of a circuit for late-model American cars. After the war, there was a shortage of new, postwar automobiles which delayed any thought of racing late models. That was until May, 1949 when France announced plans for a "Strictly Stock" Championship. The first race was on June 19, 1949 where Glenn Dunnaway finished first in a '46 Ford in front of 13,000 fans.
